Amidst the crisis in Afghanistan, Bollywood fans have stumbled upon a video of veteran actors Hema Malini and Feroz Khan arriving at the Kabul airport. The video shows Hema Malini and Feroz Khan being received at Afghanistan’s Kabul airport by dignitaries. The clip is from the time when Hema Malini and Feroz Khan had made a visit to the country along with other actors of the film Dharmatma. In the video, Hema Malini and other Bollywood actors can be seen being greeted by Afghan nationals upon arrival. The 1975 film Dharmatma was shot in Afghanistan.
Hema Malini wore a saree for her journey to Afghanistan. She had donned a pair of stylish sunglasses and worn her hair up in a bun. Feroz Khan, on the other hand, was dressed in a classy semi-formal suit. A big crowd had gathered at Kabul airport to receive the Bollywood actors. The video also features Danny Denzongpa.

After the video was posted on social media, a few fans found it informative, while others praised the movie. According to a report in Hindustan Times, while speaking with a leading daily, Hema Malini had opened up about her experience while filming in the country. She had shared that Kabul was ‘beautiful’ and her experience was ‘very nice’. Hema Malini had shared, “We had landed at Kabul Airport, which was at the time as small as the Mumbai airport, and we stayed at a hotel nearby.” Hema Malini's mother Jaya Chakravarthy had also joined her during her visit to Afghanistan, according to the Instagram post.
This video goes to show the contrast between the Kabul of 1975 and that of 2021. Several shocking images have emerged from Afghanistan showing a desperate population trying to flee Kabul which was taken over by the Taliban on August 15.
